(Name) continued sweeping throughout the manor. How did she get her? She was at the manor of Lord Alois Trancy.

She thought back on the recent events that landed her as a maid working for the Trancy.

“Oh (Name),” Sebastian called. “Lord Phantomhive would like to see you. He says he has something he must speak to you about.”

(Name) narrowed her eyes but listened to Sebastian’s instructions. She knew better than to defy him. She stood from her spot, she was polishing silver, and made her way to Earl Phantomhive’s study.

She knocked softly, as to not disturb him. But when he did not answer she knocked harder. No answer.

“It was a while ago that I told Sebastian to fetch you, how rude that he must have saved telling you until now, yes?” (Name) nearly jumped out of her skin. Ciel was behind her, a slight playful smirk on his handsome face. She was almost certain that if an eye patch weren’t covering his beautiful right eye there would be a twinkle of mischief in them.

“My lord! You startled me…” (Name) blushed a bright pink.

Ciel’s face held no expression, but his eyes smiled at her blush. “Well, my sincere apologizes, Lady (Name)… Please come in. There is something I wish to discuss with you.” He opened the large wooden door to his study and led (Name) inside. He sat her down in a fancy chair across from his large mahogany desk, when he sat he folded his hands and rested his chin in them. Looking at her, he addressed her “You’ve been working at my manor for sometime, yes (Name)? Not as long as the others mind you, but time worth mentioning, yes?”

(Name) just nodded, not understanding why the young Earl had requested her, or where he was going with any of this. “Yes, my lord. My lord, excuse me I mean not to be rude, but why did you ask to speak with me?”

“You will understand soon enough (Name), just wait. Why I asked you in here is to say, do you think I’m an idiot?” He smiled, it was a menacing smile. Not one that made her think he was going to harm her, but it made her stomach turn.

“No, of course not My Lord!”

“I see how you look at me (Name)…” He walked around the side of the desk and kneeled down beside (Name) sitting in her chair. He took her hand and looked up at her.

“I look at you the same way, dear…~” He smiled softly, it was very unlike him and that’s why Ciel adored this feeling (Name) gave him.

“Y-you do…?” (Name)’s blush darkened, she smiled. She threw her arms around Ciel, hugged him tight. “Oh Ciel! You make me so happy!!!” Tears filled her eyes, Ciel returned her hug and smiled as well.

“You make me happy too, (Name)~”

And for that moment, it seemed all was well. It wasn’t long before people found out about the scandalous relationship the young Earl Phantomhive had with his maid. People began to talk, which wasn’t good for a businessman like Ciel.

“Sales have gone down, not to the point where we should be worried…but…gahh..” Ciel stood out of his chair and requested Sebastian to fetch him something sweet, to which Sebastian responded politely that it would ruin his appetite for dinner and that he should just wait

“Sebastian, I am your master. You do as I command.”

Sebastian insisted that Ciel should just relax, dinner would be ready shortly, and left. Left just as (Name) was coming in with a tray of tea. Being the master of the house’s girlfriend was not an excuse for her to skip out of her chores. Ciel sighed. “Maybe it was a bad idea…talking to (Name)….” She stopped before opening the door fully, letting Ciel know she was there. She listened as he spoke to himself about regretting talking about his feelings to her.

Tears filled her eyes by the time he was done, she dropped the tray and ran down the corridor, crying her beautiful (E/C) eyes out.

Ciel jumped when he heard the shatter of fine china right outside his door, he opened it to see his lovely (Name) running away.

“(Name)! What’s wrong?” He followed her, but when he caught up with her she slammed the door in his face.

Anger and sadness filled her mind. ‘How could he! How DARE he!! Well if he has so many regrets, I’ll just disappear.’

She quickly scrawled out a goodbye to everyone on a piece of stationary, packed up the few belongings she had and left out the window.

That’s how she ended up in the manor of Alois Trancy. He and Claude had found her wandering the streets of London, alone…cold…and sad…

Alois told Claude to bring her home and feed her, give her a change of clothes and let her rest. Which is exactly what happened. They talked about (Name) working for them, and she ended up doing so. She had no other source of income, so she was desperate for any job she could take.

She stared into space, thinking about Ciel. She swept lazily, the weight of her love for Ciel holding her down to a few steps at a time.

“The work of a maid must be such a bore, huh?” Alois appeared of out seemingly nowhere. (Name) jumped.

“U-uhh, yes, your highness…” she looked down, she really didn’t want to deal with Alois right now. He was such an odd and pushy lad.

“Yes ~” He purred and walked closer. “(Name)…~”

(Name) blushed at his closeness, she wanted to push him away but she just couldn’t seem to find the strength she needed to do so. She felt an arm wrap around her waist, pulling her closer to the young Trancy.

“You’re such a sweet and beautiful girl, (Name)~” He buried his face in her long (H/C) hair.

“T-thank you, your highness…”

“Be mine, (Name) ~”

“W-what?”
“I want you, (Name). Marry me ~” He smiled, his baby blue eyes lighter than ever.

“I can’t, your highness.”

“Why not?”

“Because you’re trash.” Ciel walked up and smacked Alois across the face. Both Alois and (Name) were stunned.

“Phantomhive! How did you get here?”

“The true question is, how did you convince my lady friend to come here? (Name) come back…I love you.” Ciel blushed lightly, never really having to do this. ‘(Name) is worth everything… I don’t care if I have to go to the fiery pits of heck to get her back…’

(Name) stuttered, “Ciel… I don’t want to be one of your regrets…”

“You aren’t! I was just frustrated! I’m so sorry!” He ran up to her and held her tightly to his chest. (Name) fell apart against him, she began to sob. Babbling like a child about how badly she missed him.

He just listened and smiled softly, happy to have her back. He nodded ever once in a while, just enjoying the feeling of having her close to him. He cooed to her, “It’s okay, my darling. It took you leaving once to make me realize a fool I’ve been… It won’t ever happen again~”
