ThorXReader: What's This?

It was winter in New York City, and all the Avengers were gathered inside Stark Tower. (Name) sat on Thor’s lap, playing with his hair and head on his shoulder, listening to the others talk and to the music that was playing gently in the background.

“Ahh! Darling! What is that falling from the sky?!” Thor hopped up excitedly and bounded to the window loudly like a small child, even though he was a fully grown man. (Name) looked at Thor, his expression of pure wonder and curiosity amused her. It gave her a warm tingling feeling in her chest. The winter season was so wonderful. Bringing people together and gave children, and Thor, a sense of wonder.

“What's this? What's this?
There's color everywhere
What's this?
There's white things in the air
What's this?
I can't believe my eyes
I must be dreaming
Wake up, Thor, this isn't fair

“Thor, love, that’s snow. Is there no snow in Asgard?”

“Not at all, my sweet.” He moved and wrapped his arms around (Name) from behind. Both of them watching the snow.

(Name) decided to take Thor downtown NYC to show him all the holiday decorations and toys and festivities.

After they bundled up, Thor asking all these questions as they did, they left Stark Tower into the cold.

“BY ODINS BEARD! IT FEELS OF JOUTENHIEM OUT HERE!”

(Name) giggled. “Thor, be a little quieter. People are staring.”

“Then let’s give them something to stare at.” Thor kissed her gently. (Name) smiled and took his hand as they pulled away and led him downtown.

Thor ran about looking at everything, shouting exclaims to (Name) about how glorious Midgardian traditions were. But (Name) could hardly hear anything he said because he was so far ahead of her. She tried her best to keep up and kept running after him.

“Thor slow dow- OUCH!” (Name) ran right into Thor’s shoulder. It felt like a brick wall. She fell on her butt.

“My darling! Are you alright?”
“Yeah I’m good. Help me up, you big dummy.” Thor smiled at her, and helped her.

They walked inside few stores, hand in hand. Smiles on their faces. (Name) stopped underneath a small plant dangling from the ceiling. Thor looked at her with confused, puppy eyes.

“Darling, why did we stop? Did you not want to keep looking around?”

(Name) put a finger to her lips and stood on her toes. “Kiss me.”

“Why?” Thor asked.

“You just ruined it.” (Name) deadpanned.

Thor shrugged and kissed her deeply. After they pulled away (Name) added, “Mistletoe. Around the holidays people put this up, and when you’re underneath it you kiss whoever is underneath with you.”

“Ohhhh! In that case,” Thor smirked and dipped her and kissed her again.

“(Name)?”

“Yes Thor, I’d like to celebrate (Holiday of Choice in winter months) with you this year.” Thor smiled sweetly and took her hand and squeezed.

(Name) squeezed back.

“I’d love that~” She said with a smile.
